The State Authorization Network – Ohio (SAN-O), working in conjunction with WCET and their national group the State Authorization Network, was created for the purpose of providing a clearinghouse of information about State Authorization of Distance Education that is specific to the needs of Ohio’s higher education institutions.
SAN-O is a voluntary organization of Ohio-based public and private, not-for-profit colleges and universities. Originally created as a joint venture between the Ohio Learning Network and the Ohio Board of Regents to provide institutions with information regarding state authorization, SAN-O is now led by the University of Cincinnati, Franklin University and Sinclair Community College. Along with other activities, the group hosts a biannual meeting and workshop, and provides an excellent networking and professional development opportunity for staff and faculty responsible for state authorization of distance education at their institutions.
The SAN-O blog’s purpose is to deliver information about upcoming meetings as well as to report important legislative and procedural changes that affect the work of state authorization. Please sign up for the RSS feed to receive updates to this blog.
